Flocked Christmas Tree Ideas That Made Me Change My Mind About Everything

I used to think flocked trees were a bit much.
Every time I saw one in a shop or online, it looked like a snow machine had gone off and nobody stopped it in time. Not for me, I thought. Absolutely not for me.
Then Maria saw one at her grandmother Zina’s house and decided, with the kind of certainty only a nine-year-old has, that this was the only tree she wanted for Christmas that year. Not presents. The tree. She said it looked “like a real winter.”
So I ordered one. Tasos made dinner while I put it together on a Tuesday evening, and Marina handed me branches in the wrong order the entire time.
Then I turned the lights on.
I have not used a different tree since.
